Did anyone else hear the big news?
The royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine had an ENTIRELY VEGAN menu for their wedding. How awesome is that? The Queen has decided that because there are so many guests from different cultures with different religious and ethical dietary requirements that the most practical solution is to go totally plant-based.
It has been decided that due to a combination of environmental, health, cultural and diplomatic concerns that a vegan menu is the most logical option. Meat and dairy have been shown to not only play a major part in the planets environmental woes but also heavily implicated in the rise in preventable chronic disease such as Heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, osteoporosis and cancer. here. So what do you guys think about this? I totally LOVE how main stream that veganism is becoming, and can’t wait to see what kind of tasty dishes that they ended up serving on the big day.
It got me thinking about my wedding someday, and what it would be like. Of course I would have a full vegan menu, and of course a really fun cake! Whats your dream wedding cake like? My dream wedding cake looks something like these two cakes combined together…
I love polka dots! But instead of the large weird ribbon thing on top, I would have daisies make out of edible fondant (since daisies are my favorite flower!), and then have them going down the sides. And my dream wedding gown looks something like this…
I love the elegance of the one shoulder, and how it’s fitted at the waist and then tiers at the bottom. So gorgeous! (Cant you tell I’ve thought a little bit about my one day wedding? ;))
Other breaking news…
I finally got business cards – I designed them myself!
Earth Mama ordered these as a surprise for me, and I am so please with how they turned out. It is so neat to finally be able to hand out my business cards, it feels so professional! I was grinning ear to ear when I was handing them out for the first time… gosh I am an easy girl to please!
Finals week is almost over! I just have one more exam and one more paper to write before I can officially go home for the summer. I cant help but be excited! 🙂
Happy friday!
Michal ♥
