I just got home from our first football game at home and we won! 43-0!

These girls make me proud to be captain! They all worked so hard this summer, and we looked great out there tonight.

I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday because of school work, but I wanted to write about a special person who is really important to me. My grandpa had his birthday yesterday and we went over my grandparents to celebrate.

My grandpa is an extraordinary man, he has always been like a father to me. He is strong, and he has done everything to provide for his family. He means so much to me, my love for him cannot be expressed in words. And I know that he feels the same way about me too.

He seems to have done it all. He seems to have been everywhere, seen everything and experienced so much. I love listening to his stories, and the way he re-tells important things. He has been a part of change. He was in the air force, he fought and protected our country. He worked and still works hard everyday. Plus he always has an interesting fact to add, and he can always make me laugh and smile no matter what.

In addition to all that he has done, he never seems to run out of energy and continues to take care of us. My family has been blessed with two grandchildren and I am so happy that they get to have such a wonderful grandfather in their lives. They could have no one better.

In closing I just want to say cherish those that you love and those who are important to you. A lot of times myself included, we take people for granite and don’t truly appreciatethem. Today I encourage you to call up your family or friends just to say hi and check in. Let them know how special they are to you and I guarantee that you will make there day!

Tomorrow I am taking my senior pictures – I can’t believe that it’s come so fast!
